Samantha Xavier

I have been working with animals professionally for over four years. I started out working at The Sakonnet Veterinary Hospital boarding kennel in my Junior year of high school and left there as Weekend Kennel Supervisor 3 1/2 years later. After graduating high school dog training became my career of choice and discovered my true passion in life. I enrolled in the dog training program " Animal Behavioral College" and through this program met and had the privilege of having Jim Barry, currently "Reston Dog Training" as my mentor trainer. After completing the ABC program I was hired to work for his company "R.I. Dog Guy" as a group instructor and petcare manager. I also held the same position for Courteous Canine until I decided to start my own company in December of 2008. Right now I am currently the owner and operater of "The Little Shaggy Dog". Shaggy

Shaggy is Samantha's 11 year old Cocker Spaniel and Mascot of her company. He never recieved any kind of training until Samantha started the ABC program at 7 years old. He has come a long way and even earned his Canine Good Citizen in November of 2006. He has also become a member of Dog Scouts of America and belongs to troop # 175, " The Rhody Rovers".
